Garmin is known to be a GPS manufacturer (one of the leaders in it’s industry we might add), ASUS is known for manufacturing netbooks and more powerful notebook systems. However, both companies have decided to venture into the mobile phone devision with the nuvifone M10.

This device is Window’s Phone 6.5.3 powered and carries a 600MHz Qualcomm MSM 7227 CPU. Other features include 512MB of RAMand ROM as well as 4GB of internal storage as well as a 3.5-inch WVGA screen. A you can imagine, with Garmin being a GPS manufacturer, location-based information is integrated and the company boasts that this feature is included in everything the device does.

Launch is scheduled for the first half of 2010, and as usual, more details will pour out of MWC next week, so stay tuned.

It is clear that Microsoft is working behind the scenes to bring Windows Mobile 7 up to speed with the competition (Android, webOS and iPhone). That has sparked a lot of rumors as to what will actually happen in the 7^th installment of the OS. However, today we got the biggest set of rumors yet. Here they are.

First of all we’re hearing that Microsoft will be going two different routes with Windows Mobile 7. There will be Windows Mobile 7 Business Edition and Windows Mobile 7 Media Edition which will be a version the company will pitch to devs and OEM’s as the skinable version.

We’re hearing that two phones have already been confirmed. The first is the LG Apollo and the second is the HTC Obsession. The former is said to launch between Auguest and September of this year while the latter is has an arrival date of October.

We’re also hearing that full Zune and Xbox Live integration will be coming to Windows Mobile 7 and that the media interface will be one similar to what we see on the Zune HD. Get the rest of details at the link below.

No doubt you’ve heard about the Nexus One by Google. But have you seen one unboxed? In an effort to advertise the device, Google is handing out free Nexus One phones to it’s YouTube partners if they make a video advertising the device. Patrick Bolvin, the guy famous for his stop motion animation videos on YouTube decided to take up old Mountain View on their offer and came up with the video you see below. Check it out.

You’ve heard rumors about ITG’s xpPhone. You’ve probably even seen photos and maybe a few videos of the device in action. But up until now, what you haven’t seen is a price tag attached to the thing. That however has changed today as we can now give you an official price for the Windows XP running smartphone.

This AMD SuperMobile CPU powered deivce runs on either 512MB or 1GB of RAM, sports an 8GB SSD to 120GB HDD and support for both GSM and CDMA radios.

But you’re interested in the price and that sits at a cool 3,000 – 4,500 Chinese RMB which works out to $400 to $650 USD. Check out the gallery worth of pics below.

This is not the first time we’re hearing about this device. Since October of last year we’ve been getting video demos of the 5-inch Android wonder that Dell hopes to bring to the market. Yesterday however, Dell made it official. Dubbed the “Streak,” this 5-inch tablet is Android powered (as to what version we’re not sure although we’re guessing 1.5), and will be sporting such things as WiFi etc.

No word on price or release date but we do hear that it has a SIM card, carries a 5 megapixel camera and could run on AT&T’s network if given the chance. Check the press shots and video below.

AT&T is going Android and one of their phones will be the Motorola Backflip. The Backflip is an Android 1.5 device that sports such features as a 5-megapixel camera, Wi-Fi and a full QWERTY keyboard. This is not a slider phone, the Backflip has a keyboard is on the outside and flips out for use (hence the name Backflip).

The device will be getting Android 2.1 but that will not be until a future date. We’re also getting word that Flash 10.1 is coming to the device so things should start heating up from there. Check out the press shots in the gallery below.

The HTC HD2 is the phone all other phones want to be like. It has the biggest screen ever beheld on a cellphone, runs a beautiful UI powered by the venerable Windows 6.5.1 and last but not least it has one of the fastest mobile processors you can find. So why is this device not in the U.S you might ask?

Well we don’t have an answer but we can tell you that T-Mobile will be getting it shortly. Believe it or not the device has been officially confirmed for T-Mobile sometime this Spring. That’s all we know so far, specific launch time, price etc. are all being withheld, but be aware that we will be giving you a review once we get our hands on one.

No doubt you’ve heard about the Nexus One. It’s the phone that’s supposed to be Google’s masterpiece, a device that promises to heat up the cellphone market. Made official yesterday after weeks of speculation and rumors, Google has laid out its idea for the Nexus One.

First of all the device is Android powered. In fact it runs on Android 2.1, so the rumors about it being an in-house software were not true. Secondly the device is not solely Google branded. The Nexus One will be available one of three ways. You can buy it sans a contract for a mere $549. On a two year contract from T-Mobile, the device drops to a manageable $179. Verizon is listed as a carrier of the device for Spring 2010. As for Europe, Vodafone is being listed as the carrier for an unspecified date. T-Mobile Pricing options can be viewed HERE!

According to Android chief Andy Rubin, Google will “consider” adding the feature to the device. But we wouldn’t have much quips with that as multitouch has been lacking from many touchscreen phones and they still perform flawlessly.
