Palm Pre as webserver

Palm Pre as webserver

There is a reason why its called a smartphone, and unless you can hack it and turn it into a device that serves webpages to the mass public (i.e webserver), it isn’t saying anything. Well seeing that webOS is a Linux build we would naturally expect that very soon someone would do just that.

Thankfully that day has come as a guy who goes by the name “Nebula” has posted on the Pre Dev Wiki how exactly he got the process to work. Using Apache, MySQL, PHP, and Net-SNMP he was able to carry out the traditional LAMP setup. But he didn’t stop there, he also installed Network Monitoring software (Cacti).

Seems like the dev community is hard and working. If you’d like to do the same thing to your Pre we suggest you head over to the read link below for the full details. And as usual we are not responsible for whatever damage noobs put onto their devices.
