Get a Palm Pre

Get a Palm Pre

Well just today I canceled my Verizon contract and opened a Sprint account. And after pulling a few strings I will be picking up my Palm Pre sometime next week (we’ll have the full unboxing experience  right here). But it occured to me that many of the readers of this blog are concerned about getting themselves one especially considering the fact that Sprint’s CEO expects limited supplies. That said we decided to give you three options that will “guarantee” you get yourself a Palm Pre come June 6th. So check out the read link for the full details…

  1. The first option is to find a Sprint store and see if they offer a pre-order option. While I cannot be specific as to which store I went to (mainly because it might not be allowed by Sprint), many stores offer this option. The store I went to was offering a ”Pre order” for only $50 down and of course that was a deductible from the $199 for the phone on a two year contract.Just be prepared to do a little searching and it might mean pulling a few strings. Just don’t get yourself into any trouble….like something illegal (hint: bribing). But if you are planning to do this get on it soon….LIKE NOW! Because, as we said before, availability is limited.
  2. Option two invovles getting yourself on one of those RSVP events. I’d love to say this is the easiest of the three ways but it probably isn’t as you will have to be a Sprint Premier customer or celebrity to be able to get your name on the blasted list. But once you get on you can be sure you will have your Pre a whole day early (well a few hours actually) and the possibility to meet with celebrities such as Aston Kutcher. For requirements to become a Sprint Premier customer, check HERE. And for a list of all the cities where these “launch parties” will be held, check HERE!
  3. The third option is to do that camp out thingy. Yes you probably heard about people camping out in Time Square for days for a chance to get the Xbox 360, Nintendo Wii, PS3 and most recently the iPhone 3G. Well you might want to consider that. We will have a full guide later on what to bring to your camp out but for now we’ll just leave it at a backpack, some cards and your old iPhone to burn for warmth depending on the climate.
