For those of you who pay Sprint on average $200+ a month, we have a little bit of news for you. According to Sprint there will be a launch party on June 5th that will allow you to “mingle with celebs” (we wouldn’t mind meeting Rachel McAdams there).
In terms of what counts as a Premier customer, we have found the following. Be advised that this is not verified by Sprint so remember to use that salt shaker.
We understand that a Sprint Primeir customer is one who has been with Sprint for 6 or more months and has maintainted a continuous service plan of $69/month (I guess I qualify). As for the locations of these events, we have unearthed the following.
Albuquerque, N.M., Arlington, Texas, Atlanta, Ga., Austin, Tex., Baltimore, Md., Boston, Mass., Charlotte, N.C., Chicago, Ill., Cleveland, Ohio, Colorado Springs, Colo., Columbus, Ohio, Dallas, Tex., Denver, Colo., Detroit, Mich., El Paso, Tex., Fort Worth, Tex., Fresno, Calif., Honolulu, Hawaii, Houston, Tex., Indianapolis, Ind., Jacksonville, Fla., Kansas City, Mo., Las Vegas, Nev., Long Beach, Calif., Los Angeles, Calif., Louisville/Jefferson County, Ky., Memphis, Tenn., Mesa, Ariz., Miami, Fla., Milwaukee, Wis., Minneapolis, Minn., Nashville-Davidson, Tenn., New Orleans, La., New York, N.Y., Oakland, Calif., Oklahoma City, Okla., Omaha, Nebr., Philadelphia, Pa., Phoenix, Ariz., Portland, Ore., Sacramento, Calif., St. Louis, Mo., San Antonio, Tex., San Diego, Calif., San Francisco, Calif., San Jose, Calif., Seattle, Wash., Tucson, Ariz., Tulsa, Okla., Virginia Beach, Va., Washington, DC and Wichita, Kans.
So I guess I should start calling my Sprint store and asking if I am a prefered customer. Even though I have Verizon I have kept my Sprint line open and its been there since 2005. We’ll let you know of the details later.
In the meantime. Let us know if you have gotten one of these RSVP emails.

I was told by a rep that I am a premier member because I have had the same account for 10 years.
but Ihave not yet recieved an invitation.
I’m also a premier memeber having paid sprint 160.00 a month for the last 7 years and would love to get my hands on a Palm Pre early, or at least be guaranteed one without having to camp out. No invitation for a Pre event yet and i will not be bringing my sleeping bag. That might actually piss me off enough to cause me to defect to ATT and the new iphone 3.0. Sprint is doing better, but they should not push their luck!
I just got off the phone with a Sprint Customer Service rep. After putting me on hold to review my account history and confirm information, I was told that I in fact DO qualify to attend the Launch Party, but there is no information in my file to suggest that I am invited to a Launch Party. I was told, however, that the phone will be available for me to purchase on June 6th. Ugh!
I guess being a customer for over 10 years, much less averaging over $150/month in usage for the last 4+ years doesn’t get me as much as I’d hoped it would.
Oh well.
@Jesse Rosebom
Did you hear back from them regarding whether or not you qualify for a launch event?
@RambiATL
I think it would be a good idea to get on the phone with a manager and see if you can get into the RSVP event.
I have had Sprint for sometime now and if there is one thing I know about their customer support, its very unreliable in information. I once had a rep tell me that I do not need a data plan for a Blackberry Curve.
BTW according to this. You do qualify as a Premier Customer.
I am a Premier customer and received my invitation (via email on 5/19) to attend the Launch Party in my area on 6/5. I’ve been with Sprint since 1999. Can’t wait to attend!!
What needs to be understood is that weather you are a premier customer for 10 million years or not the invitations were submitted to those who either registered early to recieve a notice that explains the have been RANDOMLY SELECTED to attend the pre launch party.. There were many states that did not hold Pre-Launch parties and I’m more then sure that there were premier customres in those locations. There were no drawings from hats that made any one customer more important then the next, so stop pouting and get over it. Its a damn phone the palm has produced MORE then enough inventory to please all who are interested in purchasing the device. I stop saying what a loyal customer you’ve been for ten years, blah blah blah… Ive been a loyal customer to many establishments for many years, ((FootLocker, Nordstroms, Dell, Apple, etc.)) Just because a new item comes out and your a customer that does not me that you will EVER be entitled to recieve that item first. Your dollar amount is never more important then the next customers, your all equal and recieve the same service. Stop being so damn spoiled.
